About Marc Caposino
Dedicated to the service of struggling communities, Marc Caposino most recently made an impact as Director of Communications for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education in Washington, DC. Over the course of his tenure, he interfaced with educators, administrators, and media professionals to create public education efforts on a variety of issues. To achieve this end, Marc Caposino created an outreach team charged with keeping the public informed on such issues as special education, children's health, and instructional changes within the system. In addition, Mr. Caposino worked closely with Web and media designers to improve public perception of the district, and to better reflect its commitment to children.
Marc Caposino came to this role backed by an extensive career in media and marketing for public service groups. As Marketing Director of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), he facilitated the introduction of a new light rail line between the city's downtown commercial district and its eastern neighborhoods. He also re-designed the agency's Web presence, introduced multi-media advertising campaigns, and strengthened the agency's corporate identity. His efforts resulted in a measurable increase in public opinion of the SFMTA, which connects San Francisco's communities on a daily basis.
